The Earth is facing a CLIMATE CRISIS, driven by fossil fuels because we live in a world with increased consumerism and advanced technological development. As a result, our natural resources and ecosystems have been placed under severe pressure.
These systems form an integral part of sustaining mother earth and our livelihoods. Our environment is currently globally changing due to the incremental effects of loss and degradation of biodiversity and earth’s resources, human impacts on energy resources, climate change, and air pollution.
There is, therefore, an expedient need for everyone to understand the dire times we are in. The Climate Reality Project advocates the necessity of urgent actions to mitigate the consequences of this crisis, which include;
- urgent action to cut greenhouse gas emissions and speed the global shift to renewables;
- urgent action to halt radical fossil fuel agenda;
- urgent action to make world leaders strengthen and honor their Paris Agreement commitments.

In 2015, I was trained as a Climate Reality Leader at the Climate Reality Global Conference held in Miami, Florida, where I was equipped with the tools and network to push through practical clean energy policies, fight for green solutions and drive change locally.
It is greatly emphasized in the Climate reality project that equity, fairness, and the fully voiced engagement of frontline communities most impacted by climate change are essential components of any enduring climate solution.
To, therefore, solve the climate crisis, we must pursue a just transition to a clean energy economy that nurtures healthy and sustainable communities and ecosystems.
